AUGUSTA — Down to the wire, touch-and-go, but only at the very end for the sweetest victory in 10 years: Winner Rory McIlroy, of Northern Ireland, holds the trophy at the Masters golf tournament, April 13, 2025, in Georgia. McIlroy became just the sixth male golf competitor to achieve a career Grand Slam — winning each of the four major tournaments at least once as a professional golfer.

The other three tournaments (besides the Masters) are the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open and the Open Championship — also known as the British Open, which will be held later this year in McIlroy’s home country.
